RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

ree

Rainy days with a baby can feel long — figuring out how to keep little ones entertained (and ourselves sane!) isn’t always easy. When the grey skies just won’t quit, here are some fun ways to make the most of the day.

🌦 Mall walking Turn a rainy day into a mini adventure! Stroll through the malls, get some window (or actual!) shopping done, and enjoy the fact that Tseung Kwan O malls are all linked up — you could walk for hours without ever stepping outside. Even better, invite a friend and turn it into a social outing.

🤸 Soft play Head to one of the government’s playrooms (full list here) — perfect for babies of all ages. They get to explore safely while you catch up with a fellow parent over a chat. Win-win!

👶 Host a playdate Why not bring the fun to you? Drop a message in your neighbourhood BUMPS & BABIES WhatsApp group and suggest a playdate at your place. Just make sure to mention the age range so everyone knows what to expect.

☕ Playroom + Café combo Double the fun: babies play, parents sip coffee. We love One Small Step and Baumhaus in Wan Chai — but we’d love to hear your faves too! Share them in our weekly poll.

✨ Sensory Play at Home Rain outside? Bring the water play indoors. Set up shallow trays for splashing, jugs of coloured water for pouring, ice cubes for chilly fun, and sponges for squeezing. Messy? Yes. Fun? Absolutely.

A huge thank you to our incredible mumbassadors for organising coffees, playdates and park picnics. You’re the heartbeat of this community — proving that it really does take a village to raise a child.

BIRTH BREATHING WORKSHOP WITH CALM 🌀

ree

In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn three powerful breathing techniques designed to support you through each stage of labour - and ideally, become tools you carry with you well beyond birth. While we all breathe naturally without thinking, the breath needed during labour is more intentional, helping you connect with your body and your baby.

Much like training for a marathon, mastering these breathing techniques takes practice and purpose. 🗓️ Saturday, 30th August ⏰ 09:30-11:30 📍 Omkara Studio, Central 🎟️ Spots are limited, book here @calm_hongkong
